September 26th 2015 Winston-Salem NC is preparing for the masses on this rainy morning for their first major Christian Music Festive being held at the BB&T Ballpark, home of the Winston-Salem Dash baseball team. This is the greatest Gospel Music Festive in the Southeast Co-headlining Kirk Franklin and Mercy Me and many more gospel performers. The Festive is looking to start at 3:15 pm with the last act on at 9:00 pm on September 26th and September 27th the festive will continue at 1;45 pm with the last act starting at 7:00 pm. If you are wondering the time Kirk Franklin will perform, well I got that information for you as well; Mr. Franklin will be on stage at 6:30 pm with a performance lasting 75 min. (according to schedule).
On September 24th I had the pleasure of speaking with Brian Boesch, (Associate Director, Media Relations and Broadcasting of the Winston-Salem Dash BB&T ballpark) about The Awakening Music Festival and the roles he played in helping to achieve the Gospel Festival being held in Winston-Salem. Boesch was in charge of the promoting, marketing, and the media aspect of the event and making sure the word spread to as many as possible.I must say Brian did a great job because The Awakening is being talked about all over. As we began to wrap our conversation up about the festival, Boesch gave the assurance that even if there is rain the concert has an area that will keep a covering over customers and no matter what the show will go on. With The Awakening Festival being the first Gospel Festival at the ballpark, I wanted to know, would this be a event that they are looking to do every year and Boesch replied, “The Winston-Salem Dash is looking to make The Awakening into a yearly concert”. How great this is going to be for the city of Winston-Salem!!!! So every year Winston-Salem attendees can look forward to The Awakening and mark your calender’s. So those that are looking to attend The Awakening Festival be prepared to go and enjoy yourself. You don’t have to worry about the festival ending on this weekend in fear of the rain; just come prepared for the rain and be ready to enjoy one of the greatest Gospel Festivals in the Southeast. The tickets are ranging from $25-$75 and the $35 tickets will come with a Chick-Fil-A sandwich. So if you are looking for something to do on this rainy Saturday I recommend the first Gospel Music Festival at the BB&T ballpark. I look to see you there!!! |
